2. BOOK AVIATION MEDICAL EXAM
We recommend that you book a medical examination as soon as possible. You may start training without the medical, however, you will not be permitted to solo. It takes 2-6 weeks to process a medical.At minimum to solo or receive a recreational permit you need a Category 4. This can be completed at your local walk in doctor. A Category 3 is required for the private licences, and a Category 1 is required for the commercial pilots licence.
I you are starting your training within 5 weeks, contact us and we’ll do our best to guide you towards an aviation doctor.
3. REGISTER GROUND SCHOOL
Register for ground school at pilottraining.ca. Ground school is required for the ppl, commercial. Courses for the recreational permit, IFR and Flight Instructor Courses are strongly recommended to increase knowledge, but officially via Transport Canada not Required.
4. PICK UP COURSE KIT and SCHEDULE FIRST LESSON
